I would like to acknowledge the traditional owners of this land that we celebrated on the 7th of July 2010
The people of all nations celebrated NAIDOC day at the club in true indigenous spirit. The day started with traditional dance and song. After this magnificent dislpay of talent, rhythm and melody the men and women went in different directions to partcipate in traditional business. The men decorating boomerangs and the women making beautiful beads and necklaces. You could feel the enjoyment and celebration with people embracing the native culture.
Once these activities were finished we all met around the BBQ to share some traditional tucker with kangaroo steaks, salads and vegetables. The people talked about the day and share some stories and laughs.
